Using the Blue Division in Flames of War
The Spanish troops used German uniforms and equipment, thus the Blue division is adequately represented by a normal Mid War German Grenadierkompanie’s rules and model range. The only visible difference being their yellow and red national shield worn on the helmet right and the right upper arm. To add some unique character they have the following special rules in addition to the normal German special rules.
Machismo: To represent the Spanish preference for hand to hand and close fighting, a Combat platoon can re-roll failed Motivation Tests in Assaults.
Limited Support: AFV’s from Divisional Support would represent German armor from Corps reserves. The Blue Division cannot take Heavy Assault Guns, Assault Tanks, or Looted Panzer Platoons and may not purchase Priority Air Support.
