Pregunta. Alguien sabe el numero de tanque que tenía Kurt Knispel? Solo se que estaba en el 3./503, pero me faltan los dos otros números.

He encontrado esto en el link que te dejo más adelante: no estoy muy puesto. Mira si vale de algo:

2) Surprisingly there is not any significant or interesting article written about Kurt Knispel in that book containing about 600 pages. His picture is not included even in the bunch of nearly 140 portraits of tankies on pages 563-583 although there are portraits of many tank drivers and even wireless operators...

Dolin404 says his comments are marginal but at the end of his post he says that this book is in fact uncomparable to (let us say theoretical) book on the history of schwere-SS-Panzer-Abteilung-501, which would be based mainly on the life, combat success and fate of Michael Wittmann."

Es que me pasa lo mismo, tengo un libro de 392 paginas titulado "The Combat History of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 503" y aun no me lo he leido, pero echandole un vistazo por encima apenas he encontrado menciones a Knispel. Eso si, he visto fotos de el con el pelo corto y afeitado, pero poco mas....

En esas fotos Basu aparece en el 101 y hay otra en la que no se ve la numeracion pero dice ser el 102. Eso me hace desconfiar, puesto que yo conozca en los batallones pesados solo habia 102 cuando disponian de Panzer III y dudo mucho de alguien que alcanzo el rango de feldwebel tenga a su cargo el segundo tanque de mando de la 1./503.
